Abstract
1) Na+, K+ and Cl- concentrations were determined in 99 cases of maternal blood, cord blood and amniotic fluid of normal full-term parturients.
2) No. significant difference of Na+ concentration was noticed between the maternal blood (134 ¡¾3.2mEq/L) and the cord- blood (136¡¾3.3mEq/L). K+ concentration was lower in the mate -real blood; (3.9+0.48mEq/L) than in the cord blood (5.3¡¾1.lmEq/L).No sigrificant diffe rence of Cl- was noticed between the maternal (103¡¾3.5mEq/L) and ¢¥the cord ¡Æblood (106+ 3.3rnEq/L)
3) Na+ concentration of the amniotic fluid (127¡¾4.8 mEq/L) was the lowest than those of the maternal blood and the cord blood. K+ concentration of aminotic fluid (4.5¡¾0.75mEq/L) was higher than that of the maternal blood and lower than that of the cord blood.
